Getting and answering operator inquiries as a realtor

2 min read · Updated 2026-10-19

When an operator is interested in one of your listings, they message you on Zi-Find. You get an email, the conversation appears under Operator Inquiries, and you reply there. Zi-Find doesn't sit in the middle of the deal — you and the operator talk directly.

Where to find inquiries

  • Operator Inquiries in the sidebar opens your conversations.
  • Your Dashboard shows unread Operator inquiries and Inquiries this month.
  • My Listings shows how many inquiries each listing has had.

Each conversation is one operator asking about one listing.

Replying

  1. Open Operator Inquiries and pick the conversation.
  2. Read the operator's message and type your reply.
  3. Send. The operator gets an email that you answered.

Plain replies are always free.

Sharing phone numbers, emails, and links

Contact details and links can be shared in a conversation once either person is on a plan that includes contact sharing. For you, that's Finder Pro. Operators on the Pro Host or Elite Host plans also unlock it for both sides, so with most operators you can swap numbers straight away.

If neither side has it, a message containing a phone number, email, or link is held and you'll see a note. Remove the details and send, or upgrade under Account → Billing.

Who's messaging you

Operators are rental hosts who pay Zi-Find for marketplace access. That doesn't mean Zi-Find has vetted their business for your client. Ask about their experience, the stays they plan to run, insurance, and references, and put your client's terms in writing.

Notifications

Under Account → Notifications, the Operator messages switch controls the email you get when an operator writes. Account and security emails are always sent.

Good to know

  • Zi-Find takes no part in negotiating or signing a lease, and no rent or commission passes through us.
  • When a property is no longer available, take the listing down so you stop receiving inquiries about it.

I'm not getting inquiry emails.

Check the Operator messages switch and your spam folder, then see Not receiving emails.
