Get paid by your clients: connect your Stripe

2 min read · Updated 2026-10-19

Your clients pay you, not Zi-Find. On Finder Pro+ you connect your own Stripe account, and every payment step in your flows charges into it. Zi-Find takes no cut, and the money never passes through Zi-Find.

Connect Stripe

  1. Click Account in the sidebar, then the Integrations tab.
  2. Find Payments (Stripe).
  3. Click Connect with Stripe. You'll go to Stripe to sign in (or create an account) and finish Stripe's onboarding.
  4. When you come back, the badge reads Connected and the card says Ready to accept payments.

If the badge reads Connected (pending), Stripe still needs something from you. The card says Finish Stripe onboarding to enable charges — go back to Stripe and complete it.

You can Disconnect from the same card.

Charge in a flow

  1. Open the flow in the flow editor (Studio → Edit flows).
  2. Add a Payment step, and if you like an Invoice step before it showing your fee.
  3. Set the amount and description, and choose one-time or monthly.
  4. Publish the flow.

When a client pays, the payment lands in your Stripe account. Zi-Find records a receipt so you can see who has paid in your client list — nothing more. We don't charge, refund or hold anything.

What a payment triggers

  • If the flow has a Marketplace access step after the payment, the client's access opens and they're emailed a sign-in link from your address.
  • If it doesn't, they get your "They paid" thank-you email instead.
  • The client's card on your Placements board can move to Paid on its own.

Good to know

  • Refunds, disputes and payouts are handled in your own Stripe dashboard, between you and your client.
  • Zi-Find's fee to you is your flat Pro+ subscription. It never depends on what your clients pay you or on any lease being signed.
  • If the Get paid step on your setup checklist shows Soon, payments are still being switched on for your account. You'll be able to connect here shortly.
  • Client emails about payments (receipts, sign-in links) only go out once your own email is connected. See Connect your own email.
  • Taxes and how you invoice your clients are your business decisions. Check with your own accountant.
