Your property-upload link: get credit when an owner lists

2 min read · Updated 2026-10-19

Your property-upload link is a personal link you send to a property owner. The owner opens it, lists their own property on Zi-Find, and stays the contact on the listing — and the property is credited to you. It lives on your finder Dashboard in the card called Your property-upload link.

Who has a link

The link comes with a board seat (the contributor seat for the Paid by Zi-Find board). It credits you for properties an owner lists through it, which is only worth something once you can be paid for them. Without a seat, the card shows as locked. See Submitting a property to the board.

How to use it

  1. Open your Dashboard.
  2. On Your property-upload link, press Copy.
  3. Send it to the owner by text or email.
  4. The owner opens a public page, fills in their property and submits. They don't need to create an account first, and they never have to type your code — the link carries it.
  5. The listing goes up under the owner's own details. Yours never appear on it, which keeps you out of the middle of their conversation with an operator.

Only your link earns credit

Credit is attached only when the owner lists through your coded link. If you send an owner the plain Zi-Find website, or any other link, the property arrives with nothing attached — and there is no way to add the credit afterwards. Always copy the link from your dashboard.

What happens after the owner lists

  • The property opens a payable row at the market's posted rate, locked at that moment. It still has to clear review like any board property; nothing is paid automatically.
  • Zi-Find asks the owner to confirm in writing that subleasing is permitted.
  • On Earnings, the property appears with what it is waiting on. If it's waiting on the owner, press Ask the owner (or Remind the owner) to send the confirmation request.

Listing for an owner instead

If you would rather enter the property yourself, use My Listings → New listing and tick I'm listing this for the owner, with their best email and phone. The owner is still the contact and is still asked to confirm. See Listing your first property.

Good to know

  • You can't credit yourself: entering your own code on your own listing is refused.
  • If the same address was already paid for recently, a new payable row isn't opened.
  • Credit is a record of who brought the property in. Payment still depends on the property clearing review.

The owner says the link didn't work. What now?

Send the link again, copied fresh from your dashboard. If it still fails, sign in and use the chat bubble with the owner's city — don't send them a different link, or the credit is lost.
